Possibly add more current software/hardware to the simulators and it would be worth the cost. Commands used in the older versions are different than what is out there. For the price charged for the simulators and practice exams they should be more up to date with what is being used in everyday businesses. Routers and switches are behind in the IOS versions/hardware availability that are currently used in the real world. Good to get the basics but not good to practice real world simulations when configuring a lab. NetSim is a good product to practice with but lacks newer routers, switches and IOS. Good Simulator but lacking in software and hardware This seems like it is not consistent with best business practices. Next I come back an check and my review has been modified to 5 starts and not posted. I received response that many universities still use boson to teach ISIS fpr the route 300-101 exam. Any software that I have purchased in the past I can still use and only have to pay if I want to upgrade to a later version. Also I would expect to at least have continued access to the version I paid for, and only charged for upgrades (not forced to upgrade). For the price, and the fact that the license is only good for 3 years, I would expect more. However I get more functionality with GNS3 (freeware). Netsim has some usefulness for a quick analysis. I read a look of reviews and opinion about simulater software vs actual hardware before i purchased this and if your new to cisco i HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting this it will help you a great deal i took the icnd1 this past summer and past on the 1st try and im scheduled to take the incd2 before they change it and this software has become essential. I think this product is great, its very detailed oriented, there is a tone of repetition after you already done something but i think its actually good because it becomes 2nd nature.
